Process
Please follow these steps:
1. Research the form of a Shakespearean sonnet.

2. Read sonnets 18, 73, 115, & 116 to get a better idea of the form and style of the Shakespearean sonnet.

3. While you are reading these sonnets, please write down any questions that come to mind: anything that seems strange or confusing. Bring those questions to class so that, as a group, we can solve the mysteries of Shakespeare's poetry.
4. Choose a theme on which to write (love, joy, sadness, loss, etc.).
5. Write your own Shakespearean sonnet (remember to use whatever language you like as long as you make it fit into the sonnet form) and submit it to me via email. See the rubric for guidelines.
